About

I'm a documentary photographer with the focus on war, conflict and social issues. My home is the Swiss capital Bern, where I part time teach in photography and digital media production.

2018 I won first place in the category «world» of the Swiss Press Photo Award for a series on Iraqi snipers in the battle for Mosul.

As a photojournalist I want to be just to the people who share their stories with me. I want my pictures to be powerful and eloquent. They stand as a document of what I saw and should be viewed as stories of people, never of political or ideological ideas.
