Battle for Kyiv

Graphic content // April 2022 // The Kyiv offensive in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine for control of Ukraine’s capital, and surrounding districts ended abruptly with the sudden withdrawal of the Russian Army in early April. Initially, Russian forces captured key areas to the north and west of Kyiv. However, stiff Ukrainian resistance ended the momentum. After the withdrawal the full extent of the occupation and fighting came in focus with the discovery of mass graves and atrocities in Bucha.
